Karl Jaspers (1883 - 1969) was a German philosopher and one of the originators of existentialism.
He was noted for his steadfast opposition to National Socialism.[1]
Jaspers joined the Heidelberg philosophical faculty in 1913 which he used as a springboard to advance his ideas on existentialism.
