King's Cathedral and Chapels is a multi-site Pentecostal megachurch with its main location in Maui, Hawaii.

History

This church started being pastored by Dr. Marocco (their current senior pastor) in the year of 1980. When he began to pastor the church, less than 100 people attended their services. On the first official Sunday with him as the church's pastor, the congregation doubled. Within a year, church attendance had grown to 700 people. They had initially met in a building on Kane St., but it became too small of a building to accommodate their congregation. They then met in the Maui Skate Palace, starting in 1982.

In 1983, Dr. Marocco received a word from God: "Just as the mayor of Maui County is the mayor of three islands, I want you to pastor three islands." Shortly after, they expanded their congregation to multiple congregations on Maui. That year, they started their extension in Molokai, with their Lanai extension soon to follow. The opening of these extensions started their concept of being one church in many locations.

In 1984, God told Dr. Marocco to secure 14 acres of the most trafficked corner of Maui. Ten years later, they moved into their new church home, which was the largest facility in the state.

In 1986, they opened their first extension outside of Maui County, on Honokaa, Hawaii. With rapid succession, extensions began in Kaua'i, Alaska, Tahiti, California, Japan, and Seattle.

In 2005, they were in the "12/12/12 Vision," believing God to be in 12 nations, 12 US states, and 12 extensions on Hawaii. This vision was fulfilled and then grew into the "120/10 Vision," believing to be a church in 120 locations worldwide, ministering to over 20,000 people. This vision has been fulfilled as of May 2015.

By 2020, they believe that God will help them to fulfill the "1-2-3 Vision," believing God for 100 congregations in the United States, 200 international congregations, and 30,000 disciples (people involved in life groups or ministry).

As of January 2020, they are in 17 nations: the United States, Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, French Polynesia, Tonga, Fiji, Marshall Islands, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Spain, Mozambique, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Italy. They are also in 11 states: Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, and West Virginia. According to their senior pastor, as of 2020, they are in at least 285 locations worldwide.
