A land bridge refers to a connection between two continents which animals may cross to colonize new ecological niches.

Prior to the theory of continental drift which has been put forward by evolutionary scientists, it was widely accepted that many such land bridges previously existed.

Young earth creationists say that these bridges were used by animals and humans after the Great Flood as part of the Post-Diluvian Diasporas.
