Larry Keith Anders (born December 12, 1956) is a member of the advisory council of The Dallas Foundation, based in Dallas, Texas. Anders is the chairman and majority owner of Summit Alliance Companies, also based in Dallas. He was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to the Board of Regents of the Texas Tech University System.[1]

Active in politics, Anders has contributed heavily to candidates, mostly to Republicans. Since 2002, he has contributed $76,640 to the Republican Party and its various candidates such as Kay Bailey Hutchison, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and Mike Huckabee.[2]

The Dallas Foundation is major contributor to the liberal George Soros-backed leftist media attack group Media Matters for America. Based in Washington, DC, Media Matters is run by David Brock, a former conservative who “declared war” on Fox News.[3] The foundation has contributed $250,000 to Media Matters in recent years.[4]

The Dallas Foundation is the oldest community foundation in Texas. The IRS filing says it “grants to charitable causes, mostly in Dallas County, intended to improve the quality of life in the areas of arts, education, health, social services, and community projects.” Why they've chosen to donate to radical left-wing organizations like Media Matters, who obviously provide none of the aforementioned services, raises questions about the stated mission of the foundation.
