Liberal Judaism

Liberal Judaism first arose in early nineteenth century Germany as an attempt to reconcile the basic principles of Judaism with the Enlightenment values of rational thought and scientific evidence.
Jews living outside of Israel tend to be politically liberal while those in Israel are generally right-wing conservatives.[1]
