Liberal fluff

Liberal fluff consists of statements that have no logical or factual value of significance, but have the effect of diluting or distracting from the point at issue.

Liberal fluffers are employed extensively in the entertainment industry in Hollywood, where they promote Hollywood values.


  • An editor attempted to justify professor values by adding the statement that "[i]t appears intelligent people sometimes hold these values."[1] The statement is essentially meaningless and simply dilutes or distracts from the truth. Intelligent people can also be found in prisons and insane asylums.
