NFL career

In 2000, Paxton was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted, rookie free agent. He long snapped every punt and field goal in his rookie season for the Patriots and he still is the Patriots undisputed starter at the position currently.[1] Since he joined the Patriots in 2000 he has only missed three out of a possible 112 games that he could play in. In 2003, he missed the last few games of the regular season and the entire postseason due to an ACL injury.[2]
