Maia Sandu

Maia Sandu is the current (2019-) president of Moldova. She defeated pro-Russian Igor Dodon in the 2019 presidential elections. She supports unification with Romania (of Moldovia), has Romanian citizenship and said from Romanian Captain and Marshal Ion Antonescu that he was "a historical figure about whom we may say both good and bad things", triggering negative reactions of complain from the Jewish community of the country.
