ABC News Ignores Proposition 8 Vote in Story on Beauty Pageant Gay Marriage Question A beauty contest contestant, Carrie Prejean, Miss California, with a conservative view on same-sex marriage upset an openly gay blogger with her answer to his question about her thoughts on the issue. Yet in reporting the story, ABCNews.com paints her as the bad guy for offending the celebrity judge, while failing to mention that a majority of said beauty queen's fellow Californians agree with her views.  Gossip blogger and degenerate,  Perez Hilton, the celebrity judge, went on to "skewer" the Miss USA runner-up for her honest answer in an angry video blog entry, saying her answer was the only reason she didn't win. ABC which is owned by Disney, and makes millions off of family values, talks out of both sides of its corporate mouth it seems. That a Miss USA pageant judge and a Miss California USA official ganged up on a pageant contestant for expressing a conservative political belief during the interview portion of the contest is typical of the liberal deceit practiced daily by the secular progressive mainstream media

Report: Antarctic Ice Growing, Not Shrinking!  Ice is expanding in much of Antarctica, contrary to the widespread public belief that global warming is melting the continental ice cap. The results of ice-core drilling and sea ice monitoring indicate there is no large-scale melting of ice over most of Antarctica. Extensive melting of Antarctic ice sheets would be required to raise sea levels substantially, and ice is melting in parts of west Antarctica. The destabilization of the Wilkins ice shelf generated international headlines this month. However, the picture is very different in east Antarctica. East Antarctica is four times the size of west Antarctica and parts of it are cooling significantly. The Yale Daily News describes a Justice it disagrees with as a "conservative", yet does not describe a liberal Justice it agrees with as a "liberal".[1]

Conservapedia attracts "more educated" visitors and has a more balanced male-female distribution than Wikipedia, which is predominantly male.[2]

The anti-American book given to Obama by Hugo Chavez "Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent," this leftist indoctrination has passed exam boards and is taught in over 20 American universities since 2003. [3]

"Increased Facebook use correlates with lower grades."[4] Increase your acumen with Conservapedia instead.

Pat Toomey versus Arlen Specter is the political rematch of the century, and Toomey may represent the future of the Republican Party.[5]

William Shakespeare, generally regarded as the greatest playwright in the English language, died on April 23, 1616.

Liberal Student Infiltrates Liberty University to Write Exposé and Discovers Intolerance.....From the Left! A liberal Ivy League student decides to enroll at Jerry Falwell's Liberty University in Virginia and write a book exposé (The Unlikely Disciple: A Sinner's Semester at America's Holiest University) supposedly showing the intolerance that must be there, or so he thought. The liberal student, however, was surprised to find little of the expected intolerance but is now finding plenty of it from the left because his book was not an outright condemnation of Liberty University nor of Jerry Falwell whom he met during his semester there. [6]

Conservapedia has learned that a leading creation science organization is making a top priority of creating a flagship article on atheism that will focus on the futility and folly of atheism and this article will be unveiled soon! In addition, another YouTube video is shortly going to be released which cites Conservapedia's evolution article!

Obama's Massive 4 Trillion Dollar Economic $timulus/Taxation Scheme Is Taking Effect: GM to Close Most U.S. Factories for Nine Weeks. The automaker's sales were down 49% in the first quarter compared with the same period last year, and GM had a 123-day supply of unsold cars and trucks at the end of March. Where will the billions for workers unemployment benefits come from in cash-strapped Detroit? [7]

The Obama Administration's FDA Approves "Plan B" for 17-Year-Olds: The Food and Drug Administration, reversing field, will now let 17-year-olds get the 'morning-after' birth control pill without a doctor's prescription. [8]

The Central Intelligence Agency told CNSNews.com today that it stands by the assertion made in a May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that the use of “enhanced techniques” of interrogation on al Qaeda leader Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) -- including the use of waterboarding—caused KSM to reveal information that allowed the U.S. Government to thwart a planned terrorist attack on Los Angeles. [9]

Phyllis Schlafly: Ginsburg's Judicial Globalism. Justice Ginsburg demands the Supreme Court cite foreign laws or decisions in rulings on U.S. cases, usurping constitutional law. [10]

Allegations of ethics violations by Democrats in recent months have not made the same splash that they did a few years ago when Republicans were on the receiving end. Republican strategist Ron Bonjean said Democrats have benefited from an "Obama media cycle" and "the Obama administration, with everything it is changing, is providing cover for Democratic corruption". [11]

Obama Administration Deceit & Lies Department: The Obama administration's top intelligence official privately told employees last week that "high value information" was obtained in interrogations that included harsh techniques approved by former President George W. Bush. "A deeper understanding of the Al Qaeda network" resulted, National Intelligence Director Dennis Blair said in a memo, which the Associated Press obtained a copy of. In a public statement released the same day, Blair did not say that interrogations using the techniques had yielded useful information. [12]

Blue Marble.jpg

Today is Earth Day!
Greenpeace co-founder Dr. Patrick Moore says the environmental movement “has lost its objectivity, morality and humanity.”
This Earth Day, let us dedicate ourselves to restoring those essential virtues, free of the hysterical hyperbole and political agenda of the radical left that has co-opted this day. God commands us to be good stewards of his creation. (Genesis 1:26-28) All men are stewards of the earth’s resources. In a new way, all Christians are stewards of the earth and of the spiritual graces given through Christ’s death and Resurrection. We have received not only the earth, but also many spiritual riches to be used to advance the Kingdom of God (Luke 19:11-27). Conservapedia Mourns The Death Of Common Sense. Common Sense, RIP

All you good conservatives, time for action. MSNBC, the most liberal of networks has an online poll to grade Obama. They know we don't watch their network, and the votes will pile up from misguided liberals with high grades. Click on this link and give him the "F" he deserves.

Liberals and friendship: Miss California Feels Backlash From Former Hollywood Friends and Colleagues. Media expert and longtime Hollywood publicist, Michael Levine, told FOX News, "Hollywood isn’t just liberal, it is fearfully liberal. It is easier in Hollywood to say you’re a drug addict or to pretty much anything than to admit to being a committed Christian." [13]

Global Cooling: An Inconvenient Fact [14]

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, often portrayed as a cuddly socialist, has presided over myriad political and human rights abuses since he took office in 1999. [15]

UN anti-racism summit, turns into anti-Semitic summit instead. Liberal Norway strangely do not walk out from Iranian PM Ahmadinejad's tirade [16] [17] [18]. Even Nobel Peace Prize winner Desmond Tutu is slammed as a "racist and a bigot" for his views on Israel and Palestine. [19]

Wikipedia's deletion bias strikes again: this time it censors "Culture of Death."[20][21]

That a Miss USA pageant judge and a Miss California USA official ganged up on a pageant contestant for expressing a conservative political belief during the interview portion of the contest is typical of the liberal deceit practiced daily by the secular progressive mainstream media [22] and [23]

NBC's leftist host Matt Lauer Is “Worried” Obama Won’t Be Able to Dictate to Business...
“I’m worried if you think -- if that’s a good thing [for Goldman Sachs to pay back its bailout money early]. Are they doing this because of financial stability, or might they be talking about that simply to get out from under the thumb of the federal government and be allowed to go back to running the business the way they want to run it, as opposed to the way the government wants them to run it?” — NBC’s Matt Lauer to Obama economic adviser Christina Romer, April 14th Today Show.[24]

Eric harris dylan klebold.jpg

Conservapedia and people around the world remember and are praying for the victims of Colorado's Columbine High School Massacre, 10 years to the day after two atheist teenagers shot dead 12 fellow students and a teacher. Another 23 people were wounded when Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold went on a bloody rampage through the halls of their high school on April 20, 1999. The killers were anti-religion, anti-establishment, antisocial, they sought out as victims Christians and other positive role models.[25]
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are all passed away" Revelation 21:4 (KJV)

Trying to understand why Democrats hate America. Democratic leaders often cannot conceal their enmity toward the nation they serve. Democrats are part of a privileged class which is above the limitations imposed on others by things like the Constitution, the rule of law, or common decency. [26]

The Associated Press has for years been good for inventing the news out of its own vivid imagination. But now, not only is the AP inventing news it is inventing an entire national self-image, then batting it down all in an effort to prop up the feckless foreign policy of its messiah Barack Hussein Obama. Obama's "The U.S. Sucks" tour isn't over yet and the AP is loving it. It just so happens that patriotic Americans see no reason to supplicate ourselves as a nation at the feet of some foreign despot just to make America haters feel good about themselves. Sadly it seems that Obama does. And the AP agrees. [27]

And then there's CNN, which doesn't like images of Tea Party protesters confronting their reporters when they lie: [28]

Anti-creationists: do they fear an overthrow of the evolutionary paradigm in the United States? [29]

The Obama Administration is quickening our march towards Socialism with news that "strong" banks will be allowed to repay federal bailout funds, but only if such a move passes a test to determine whether it is in the national economic interest, the Financial Times reported on Sunday, citing a senior U.S. administration official. That judgment would be made in the context of the wider economic interest, the report said. [30]

ObamaHalo.jpg

Conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh says the mainstream media attitude on President Barack Obama is that he is too big to fail. What CNN has planned for the night of April 29 is one of several signs that this is the case. According to a report from the Associated Press, CNN has a big night of coverage planned for Obama's 100th day in office that will supplant normally scheduled programming. The AP says: "The network will compile a national report card of Obama's performance, using opinion polls and a series of viewer surveys." Because the MSM is so full of Liberal deceit we have no doubt "The Chosen One" will get straight "A's" from his adoring media worshipers. [31],[32] and [33]

Is America really turning the economic corner? No! President Barack Obama's economic policies are counterproductive and leading America down the path of poverty! [34][35][36]

Obama, stop spending our future! You are compounding the crisis and digging us further into a mammoth financial hole! [37]

Gore firegloablawarminghoax.jpg

Just one-out-of-three voters (34%) now believe global warming is caused by human activity, the lowest finding yet in Rasmussen Reports national surveying. 48% of all likely voters attribute climate change to long-term planetary trends, while 7% blame some other reason. 11% aren’t sure. These numbers reflect a reversal from a year ago when 47% blamed human activity while 34% said long-term planetary trends. Conservapedia along with most of the conservative media has been on the front lines of debunking the liberal deceit spread by the leftist blogs and Al Gore among many radical liberal and Socialist politicians. Our efforts are paying off! [38]

Composite antarctic NASA.jpg

The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research report prepared for last week's meeting of Antarctic Treaty nations in Washington, D.C. noted the South Pole (overall) had shown "significant cooling in recent decades." [39]

Obama tells leaders of Americas the U.S. too disengaged, dictatorial. Ten days after telling Europeans that the United States had been divisive and derisive toward its allies there, Barack Hussein Obama veritably raced to publicly berate his adopted country while on foreign soil—in the fourth paragraph of his very first speech, he publicly told leaders of the Americas that America has been too disengaged and even dictatorial toward its more local neighbors. Obama must be looking forward to his next foreign trip to unload even greater insults on the country he was elected to "lead'.[40]

Public school values strike again. A 47-year old Ohio teacher has resigned, after taking four female students, aged between 17 and 18, to a male strip club.[41].

Summit of the Americas: Obama open to meeting with Hugo Chavez. "I am ready to talk with the U.S. president," Chavez said. "Let's hope, and I have said this, perhaps we can restore the relations to the same level that we had with the Clinton administration." Do liberals dislike any dictators? [42]

CNN's Susan Roesgen has had a rough week (reports Newsbusters and Media Bistro), what with all the ordinary- American / First Amendment practitioners bashing she so passionately and obnoxiously delivered in her TEA Party reporting. Perhaps it was the sniping at the place she twice applied to work in 2005 - Rupert Murdoch's House of Massive Ratings, otherwise known as Fox News - that put her over the edge. Or whether or not her email box was so overwhelmed with what was undoubtedly an endless stream of "love letters" and "fan mail" that it caused a server meltdown. Whatever it was, CNN has announced that Miss Roesgen's "taking a break." [43] & [44]

Barney Frank2.jpg

Barney Fife's Frank's track record as a financial analyst is, shall we say, mixed. The House Financial Services Chairman said for years that a collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac would pose zero risk to taxpayers. For most people, a mistake of that magnitude would trigger introspection, if not humility. But not the pervert sage of Massachusetts. He's cooking up yet another insane, totally fantastic subsidy—and like the last one, he swears taxpayers won't feel a thing. Really! In his words, "it would cost the federal government zero".... Uh oh. Run! [45]

Another big development in adult stem cell therapy. Researchers in Brazil used adult stem cells to successfully cure Type 1 diabetics, in Korea heal a broken jaw bone. Obama funds embryonic stem cells with no known cures and the result is the destruction of a life. [46]

President Carter Obama Backs Off Gun Ban, says he prefers to enforce existing laws to keep assault weapons out of Mexico, rather than trying to renew the U.S. ban on the guns! This is a key victory for the Second Amendment and the NRA [47]

Georgetown University Hid Religious Symbols at White House Request! Obama Appointee Suggests Radical Plan for Newspaper Bailout. Rosa Brooks, who has moved from the L.A. Times to the Pentagon, called for more "direct government support for public media" and government licensing of the news. This is a great way for Barack Hussein Obama and the Obama Administration to pay back the MSM for being in the tank for them! Rarely does one see such candor from the leftist media. [49]

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said she was briefed before the release of a controversial intelligence assessment and that she stands by the report sent to law enforcement that lists veterans as a terrorist risk to the U.S. and defines "rightwing extremism" as including groups opposed to abortion and illegal immigration. What? Opposition to Obama policy now makes you a potential domestic terrorist ! [50]

Liberal hate demonstrated once again, by liberal media establishments like CNN and MSNBC, as they just have to toss their own professionalism in the garbage can and engage in toilet-talk and sexual jokes when covering the Tea Party: [52]

The broadcast networks evening newscasts on Wednesday provided prominent coverage of the "Tea Party" rallies across the nation with time for the views of participants, but they tried to discredit the protests as a front for "corporate interests" or a "fistful of rightward leaning Web sites" -- a concern for motives and hidden agendas the same programs lacked when championing the 2006 pro-illegal immigrant marches. [53]

Deceit Techniques Used By Liberals Against Conservatives. Losing an argument, shift the discussion. Lack credible sources, use an anonymous smear. Win a message by teary-eyed emotion. Rewrite history. Refuse to debate, claim the matter has been decided. Attack using their own words, out-of-context. Can't find fault, invent one. [54]

Terrorism is now defined by the Obama Administration as anything in word or deed that the left doesn't like, like protesting abortion, holding Tea Party rallies, criticizing Obama, airing your views on talk radio, being a veteran of Iraq, etc.: [55][56][57][58][59]

MSM Liberal Bias Department -- CNN Reporter at Chicago Tea Party: It's "Anti-CNN Since This is Highly Promoted By the Right-Wing, Conservative Network Fox News" CNN "correspondent" Susan Roesgen could barely get through her live shot at the Chicago Tea Party this afternoon. Over shouts of, "You're not a reporter," Roesgen quickly wrapped up an interview with an attendee. A Fox News spokesperson responds to TVNewser, "Judging by their lack of ratings, everyone seems to be anti-CNN." Video of crowds reaction to CNN reporter HERE. [60]
NEW Video: Fox's Shepard Smith responds in his own inimitable way on Studio B: "Just a minute ago, that Susan Roesgen, from that CNN, that people used to watch a long time ago..." And still later: "Anti-CNN? Who's anti-CNN, settle down Susan! Come on girl." And even later: "Poor Susan Roesgen, nobody hates you, everybody ... we love the CNN. Relax everybody. Don't get your hate on." [61]

The nationwide non-partisan, anti-tax, anti-spending events known as "Tax Day Tea Parties" will be held in more than 700 cities today. If crowd estimates are even close to right -- President Obama's fiscal and economic policies will be publicly and loudly questioned in a way we (and Obama) haven't seen to date. One thing is for sure, they are a success before they begin: They have drawn the adolescent derision of hateful liberal critics, who, through envy or political bigotry, have chosen to bash them. Read more about the movement. --Video. - Video 2

New York Times Paul Krugman, the economist turned left-wing talking points spouter goes after the "Tea Party" protests by comparing Rush Limbaugh to Stalin and saying Republicans are like the mentally ill for demanding lower taxes and Obama Administration accountability. It's perhaps not fair to blame Krugman for this, because the renowned (former) economist is simply parroting whatever the Daily Kos and other extremist left-wing blogs are saying. [62]

Political Correctness Runs Wild Again: Brown University Kills 'Columbus Day' for 'Fall Weekend' under pressure from revisionist leftist faculty and students. The faculty of the Ivy League university voted at a meeting Tuesday to establish a new academic and administrative holiday in October called "Fall Weekend" that coincides with Columbus Day, but that doesn't bear the name of the explorer. Don't bet the liberals at Brown will stop there.[66]

Obama Wiretaps.jpg

During the 2008 Presidential election one of the mainstays of B. Hussein Obama's campaign was a constant assault on George W. Bush for national security wiretaps, which Obama unceasingly said were an attack on the Constitution and he was 100% opposed to them, and would stop them. Now, in a stunning defense of President Bush's warrantless wiretapping program, Obama has broadened the government's legal argument for immunizing his Administration and government agencies from lawsuits surrounding the National Security Agency's eavesdropping efforts. In fact, a close read of a government filing last Friday reveals that the Obama Administration has gone beyond any previous legal claims put forth by former President Bush. Does this make Obama the "Liar in Chief"? [67] -- [68]

According to leftist (aka, "liberal") blogs, pirates in Somalia aren't really pirates; they're ecologists worried about the trashing of their coastline: [69]

The New York Times tries to discredit anti-global warming activist Marc Morano by linking him to some of their favorite villains: Exxon, the Swift Boat Veterans, and Richard Mellon Scaife. In contrast to Times profiles of liberals who want enormous political and lifestyle changes to combat global warming, Kaufman had nothing flattering to say about Morano. She also hinted Morano is less than truthful about some of his confrontations, something the Times would never challenge a liberal on. [70]

Italian earthquake survivors celebrated Resurrection Sunday. ""We are all a little bit angry with God because we never expected a tragedy this big. But even anger toward God is a sign of faith."[71]

Obama's Brother Refused UK Entry Over Alleged Sexual Assault. Samson Obama — one of the President's 11 half-brothers and sisters — is alleged to have been living illegally in Britain when he was arrested in Berkshire last November, giving the police a false name. Living illegally in foreign countries seems to be an Obama family trait, with Obama's aunt currently facing a deportation hearing for living in the United States illegally as well. [73]

Why does Barack Obama keep insulting the Vatican? Since the United States established formal diplomatic relations with the Vatican in 1984, the ambassadorial position has been held by political supporters and pro-life Catholics under both Republican and Democratic administrations. Obama has submitted three choices to the Vatican, all three rejected for their pro-abortion stance. [76]

You might have thought that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had retired her $6 million presidential campaign debt a long time ago. Apparently not, judging from an e-mail sent out from Hillary Clinton for President announcing a....lottery! It offers as prizes a day with Bill Clinton in New York City, a trip to the "American Idol" finale in Los Angeles. Didn't Barack Hussein Obama, who ended his campaign with a massive surplus, say he was taking care of her debt? [77]

Lent Season.jpg

Today is Holy Saturday (in Latin, Sabbatum Sanctum ), the 'day of the entombed Christ,' is the Lord's day of rest, for on that day Christ's body lay in His tomb. We recall the Apostles' Creed which says "He descended unto the dead." It is a day of suspense between two worlds, that of darkness, sin and death, and that of the Resurrection and the restoration of the Light of the World. This day between Good Friday and Easter Day makes present to us the end of one world and the complete newness of the era of salvation inaugurated by the Resurrection of Christ. Nightfall on Holy Saturday is time for joy and greatest expectations for Christians as we await news of the single greatest event in the history of the world. We reflect upon God's great gift of his only Son, who sacrificed Himself so that we might live.

"He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." 1 Peter 2:24-25 (NIV)

The Washington Times reports that an under-the-radar provision in a House climate bill authored by liberal Democratic Representatives Henry Waxman of California and Edward Markey of Massachusetts would give plaintiffs who claim to be "victims" of global warming a way to sue the federal government or businesses. The provision reportedly would set grounds for plaintiffs who "suffered" or expect to suffer "harm" attributable at least in part to government inaction. The provision defines "harm" as "any effect of air pollution (including climate change)," according to the Times. Plaintiffs could seek up to $75,000 in damages a year from the government, with $1.5 million being the maximum total payout. [78]

Rembrandt The Raising of the Cross.jpg

Yesterday was Good Friday a solemn day of reflection.
“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”- Romans 5:6-8 (NIV)

2 Students Sue California College District for Threatening to Suspend Them for Praying. Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute, which is representing the students, said, "It is alarming that a publicly funded college would seek to suspend and expel students for praying on campus, then dig in its heels to defend an untenable, unconstitutional position." The Last Supper WM.jpg

Thursday night commemorated the Last Supper. Learn from the most logical teacher the world has ever known: Jesus Christ. He washed the feet of his Apostles before willingly accepting the Crucifixion.
“Then He took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood, of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins"—Matthew 26:26-28 (NIV) For the last two millennia, the Last Supper has inspired people to live by faith in Jesus Christ, by serving others instead of following the worldly influences of expecting to be served.

Rosa Brooks, a Georgetown University law school professor, wrote in her last column for the Los Angeles Times that it is time for a government bailout for journalism because our way of society is reliant on that profession for its survival! Is there any doubt as to why Americans are no longer subscribing to these leftist propaganda tools? Even more frightening about Brooks' view is that this government bailout would involve the government "granting licenses." Without these measures, she warns newspapers will consist of nothing more than "fluff". [84]

More evidence Obama's not ready to lead: At his recent press conference in Austria, President Obama was confused as to how a word translated into "Austrian"! Perhaps the befuddled President should have checked with Conservapedia's homeschoolers, all of whom know "Austrian" isn't a language at all, and the predominate language in the Republic of Austria is German, but many also speak Croatian and Hungarian. -- See video

And still more: The White House claims Obama never bowed to the king of Saudi Arabia; the video shows he did exactly that [85][86] in a "shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate" that an American president has never done before.

The Pentagon sponsored a first-of-its-kind war game last month focused on how hostile nations might seek to cripple the U.S. economy, a scenario made all the more real by the global financial crisis. Today is the final day to comment in support of the "Provider Conscience Rule," which prevented forcing doctors to perform abortion. Obama is repealing this Rule. Obama’s "Christian" Appointee to Faith-Based Program Says New Testament Teaching on Homosexuality Is ‘Not True’. The appointee, Harry Knox, has also said that Obama's decision to invite the Rev. VP Joe Biden: The USA is much safer now. In a petty rebuke of former Vice President Dick Cheney's comments, he highlights that America's image abroad is improving. Meanwhile, the Obama Administration works to give rights to terror suspects, cancel interrogations, scale back missile defense programs, cut military funding and appease rogue nations. [91]

As President, Barack Hussein Obama has pledged “an unprecedented level of openness in government.” Unless, that is, you want to voice your opinion as a citizen on whether we should reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil by developing offshore oil and gas reserves. Whether you’re pro or con, if you want to comment on offshore drilling, the “Yes, We Can!” Obama Administration has a simple, three-word answer for you: No, you can’t! President Obama has refused to provide a government email address to forward public comments to. [92]

Democrat Lawmakers Meet With Castro Brothers, Predictably Insult the United States. The delegation that traveled to Cuba featured six members of the Congressional Black Caucus and Rep. Mike Honda, D-Calif. "For the past 50 years, the United States has been swimming in the Caribbean Sea of delusion," said Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo., who described the United States as "the isolated nation", not Cuba. Fidel Castro said that one of the Members of Congress told him that the United States should "apologize" to Cuba. Is there just one Communist dictator that liberals don't like? [93]

For the Media, it’s Un-Holy Week. This Holy Week has been typical. Newsweek proclaimed 'The Decline and Fall of Christian America' on its cover. The Washington Post / Newsweek 'On Faith' blog featured a post that belittled the significance of Jesus’ death and resurrection. The Discovery Channel aired a documentary that painted Jesus as little more than an opportunistic politician who caught a bad break in a trial. But because Easter is so central to understanding Jesus and His purpose, and to Christians own understanding of the world, the secular attack escalates during Holy Week. It takes on more existential dimensions, questioning Christianity’s relevance in the modern world, the meaning of Christ’s lessons and ultimately, His divinity. [94]

Like It's 1993...Does it sometimes feel as if the Obama Administration is mostly a Clinton redux? There's a reason for that. Fully 42% of Obama's picks for Senate-confirmed positions so far worked in the Clinton administration. And if they appear to come from elite, private schools, well, they do. In fact, about one-fourth of those named so far either attended or taught at Harvard, to name just one esteemed institution. On another front, men are outnumbering women by more than 2 to 1 in the top jobs. What change, Mr. President? [103]

Cardinal Francis George of Chicago called the University of Notre Dame's decision to invite President Barack Obama to speak at its commencement an "extreme embarrassment" to Catholics. The Obama Administration is wrong when it says 90% of weapons used to commit crimes in Mexico come from the U.S. In fact, it's not even close. The fact is, only 17 percent of guns found at Mexican crime scenes have been traced to the U.S.

As Mexico suffers from the worst drug-related bloodshed in its history, a growing number of politicians and pundits are calling for the government to take a radical turn in its war on drugs: Legalization. In recent months, two left-leaning parties have filed bills in the Mexican congress on the issue - one advocating the decriminalization of marijuana for personal use and the other of both "soft" and "hard" drugs, including cocaine and heroin. R.I.P. 'War on Terror' The phrase "global war on terror" is finished, at least as far as Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama is concerned. "The administration has stopped using the phrase and I think that speaks for itself," Clinton said. Conservapedia agrees with them. It speaks of capitulation and accommodation with the very same Radical Muslims Obama has always had ties to, supported. Read our article on Obama and learn the truth. It will set you free. [126]

"Earth Hour" was just another “I’m a hypocrite” moment from America’s favorite limousine liberal, Al Gore whose 9,000 sq. ft. mansion was still brightly illuminated inside, along with the dozen or so floodlights grandly highlighting several trees and illuminating the driveway entrance of Gore’s estate. Al won a Nobel Prize, so that means he doesn’t have to turn out his lights like the rest who were intent on making a statement. Gore made a statement anyway; that he's a fraud. [130]

In the electronic age, Democrat activists are trolling your favorite conservative websites & talk shows. President Obama's glib assertion that his reduction in tax deductions will not reduce donations is absurd. His pathetic defense at his press conference - that he would still give a $100 check to charity even if he only got $11 less of tax deduction from it was both disingenuous and beside the point. In 2006, those earning $200K or more comprised just 3% of the tax returns, made 31% of the income, but donated 44% of all charitable contributions! Together, they provided charity with $81 billion. Obama’s plan will cost them $10 billion in extra taxes on the income they allocated to charitable donations. Obama's cruel plan will devastate Homeless Shelters, Day Care and Churches. [138]

Hillary Clinton was nearly upstaged by reports that the United States planned to nominate a Cuban-born American diplomat who has written extensively about “failed states” as the next ambassador to Mexico...

The Mexican daily newspaper El Universal, citing unnamed sources, reported Thursday that the United States had submitted Mr. Carlos Pascual’s name to the Mexican government.

The paper noted that Mr. Pascual’s specialty was in dealing with conflict-ridden states. He served as the coordinator for reconstruction and stabilization in the State Department, a post that involved working with several agencies to develop strategies for broken countries like Afghanistan. [140]

Don't think abortion—particularly partial-birth abortion—is a lucrative business? Dr. "Tiller estimated that he performed 250 to 300 late-term abortions in 2003, each costing an average of $6,000."[141] That's up to $1.8 million in that year for only a fraction of the doctor's time.

George "Dr. Death" Tiller, one of only 3 late-term abortion providers in the United States was acquitted Friday of charges stemming from the thousands of abortions he performed, including in the 8th or 9th month. Mary Kay Culp, executive director of Kansans for Life, said abortion opponents were never confident that Tiller would be prosecuted aggressively. "Even if Tiller had been found guilty, he would have appealed to the Kansas Supreme Court," Culp said, noting that four of the Kansas high court's seven justices were appointed by liberal Democratic Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, who supports abortion rights and is a confidant of Barack Obama. [144]

Liberal Democrats in the Senate are talking of cutting back President Obama's pledge of tax cuts for most Americans in the face of record deficits. But 63% of U.S. voters now say tax cuts would help the economy. That’s up from 56% in February and marks the highest level found in years of tracking this question. 66% of voters think the President is likely to raise taxes, breaking yet another campaign promise, on those who make less than $250,000 per year. [147]

A United Nations document on "climate change" envisions a huge reordering of the world economy because of the Barack Obama supported Copenhagen Accord, the successor to the Kyoto Treaty, involving trillions of dollars in wealth transfer, millions of job losses and gains, huge new taxes, industrial relocations, new tariffs and subsidies, and complicated payments for greenhouse gas abatement schemes and carbon taxes — all under the supervision of the U.N. The Obama Administration is marching the United States towards World Government. [148]

Media outlets including CNN, Time magazine, and the Los Angeles Times are reporting that "over 1 million" women in Brazil illegally terminate their pregnancies every year. Abortion is illegal there, except under rare circumstances. However, this figure appears to originate from a group called Ipas, an organization dedicated to "advancing women's reproductive rights."—It openly endorses legalized abortion. Just more media deceit. [149]

Like Air America did, America's liberal newspapers are rapidly heading towards bankruptcy. What to do? Why reach into the taxpayers pockets and make them pay for the slanting of the news, of course! Newspapers perform a public service for democracy and should be allowed to operate as tax-exempt non-profits, U.S. Senator Benjamin Cardin (Democrat-Maryland), proposed Tuesday. Cardin introduced a bill that would allow newspapers to choose tax-exempt status. They would no longer be able to make political endorsements, but they could continue their leftist bias of political campaigns and issues. [159]
