Liberty, federalism, and the conservative statesman—an insightful essay.[196]

Chris Christie is still a global warming alarmist. His remarks when he pulled out of a cap-and-trade pact show it.[197]

Criminal complaint filed with the FBI, charging the birth certificate released by the White House on April 27 was created via an Adobe computer program for Obama's benefit. "I have irrefutably proven that the Certificate of Live Birth that President Obama presented to the world on April 27, 2011, is a fraudulently created document put together using the Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator programs, and the creation of this forgery of a public document constitutes a class B felony in Hawaii and multiple violations under U.S. Code section Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 47, Sec.1028, and therefore an impeachable offense." Arabs wage a PR war against Israel. Israel can fight back only with the truth.[204]

Barack Obama flubs Memorial Day speech. It's his highest honor to serve as commander-in-chief of "...one of the finest fighting forces the world has ever known." A typical memorial speech however America IS the finest military in the world. There isn't a single country that even comes close. [205]

Will Obama/Bernanke zombies continue to clutch their "Obama blankies" or will they finally wise up and see that Obama the community organizer and his loyal henchman Ben Bernanke are clueless about economics?

Thank liberal economics: "Home prices plunge by 4.2 percent, threatening economic recovery." [209] In 2010, they fell by another 5.1 percent.

The conservative state of Texas outperforms the liberal state of California when it comes to jobs. Newsweek reports: "Since 2001...the state has gained more than 730,000 jobs. In contrast, California, Texas’s antithesis in political culture ... has lost more than 600,000 jobs in the same period."[210] Many liberals don't understand business as it typically involves exercising common sense and often requires hard work.

Utah recognizes gold and silver coins as legal tender. What's more, merchants may value the coins by their weight, not mere face value. The gold standard has arrived.[211]

A recent Gallup poll shows active-duty and retired military giving Obama low marks...and it's getting lower.[212]

More economic facts which appear to make Obama re-election unlikely: 50 facts every American should know about the U.S. economy heading in a downward spiral. [215] 20 questions to ask someone who believes the U.S. financial crises is over. [216]

Larry Sabato, an elections expert at the University of Virginia, points out that the United States economic growth rate is an anemic 1.8% and well below the 3% that presidential candidates usually need for re-election. Sabato believes that if Republicans pick a respectable candidate they will probably win. [217] Obama's political base appears to be lukewarm concerning working for Obama's re-election. [218]

When the President travels on campaign, the public supports that. Those who tout public funding of campaigns (with tax dollars) don't mention that, do they?[221]

The term "duh science" was first coined by the offbeat LA Weekly on Jan. 14, 2000 (p.12) in mockery of a story in the LA Times: "on January 5 we sat down to the front-page Column One feature hungry for substance. ... Times medical writer Terence Monmaney informed us that ... pessimism can lead to depression. 'From what I'm able to figure out, pessimistic people are in bad moods,' psychologist Christopher Peterson, the lead author of a 1998 study at the University of Michigan, was quoted as saying. Who knew?"
A decade later, the LA Times itself is mocking "duh science": "consider the case of Harvard sleep expert Dr. Charles Czeisler, who has spent about $3 million over the years demonstrating over and over that doctors who don't get enough sleep make mistakes on the job." [222]

Give it up, liberals: after liberal policies destroyed Michigan and caused thousands to flee the state, it will lose a congressional seat currently held by a Democrat. [223]

Water on the moon. Where did it come from? It formed when seven big rocks hit the moon. But so much water gives the lie to the theory that an asteroid hit the earth to form the moon. [224]

Always a teleprompter, and now an "autopen" too: Obama's use of an autopen to sign the Patriot Act does not seem to comply with the Constitution. [225] Let's hope he didn't date it "2008" as he did recently for his real signature! [226]

God fearing North Dakotans still appear to be outperforming Oregon atheists when it comes to having employment. [227] Please see: Are atheists smarter than the average bear?

Oregon professor says that many atheists reacting angrily to newspaper stories on religion either have "way too much time on their hands" or "something to prove" and "a competitive anger directed against persons of traditional religious faith". [228] Given that many atheists appear to be losing the battle of bulge compared to individuals who are very religious, it is not surprising that many have a "competitive anger".

Television is losing its relevancy, as people flock to Conservapedia for content: "Every broadcaster recorded ratings declines, with some of the biggest drops among young viewers." [234] Only content-less TV shows like the Super Bowl and American Idol are holding their TV audience.

"What Obama did to Israel. Every Arab-Israeli negotiation contains a fundamental asymmetry: Israel gives up land, which is tangible; the Arabs make promises, which are ephemeral. ... For 2 1/2 years, the Obama administration has refused to recognize and reaffirm these assurances. Then last week in his State Department speech, President Obama definitively trashed them." [235] Is this genuine antipathy or the arrogance of a blundering amateur? or a distraction movement?

Obama's assault on conservative speech: [236]

More liberal claptrap from California public schools: "Teacher Tells Kindergarteners There Are 'More Than Two Genders.'" [237]

"Saudi Arabia Scrambles to Limit Region’s Upheaval Saudi Arabia is flexing its financial and diplomatic might across the Middle East in a wide-ranging bid to contain the tide of change, shield fellow monarchs from popular discontent and avert the overthrow of any more leaders struggling to calm turbulent republics... In Libya, after helping push through an Arab League request for international intervention, Saudi Arabia sat out and left its neighbors, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, to join the military coalition supporting the rebels. It has so far kept its distance publicly from Tunisia as well, although it gave refuge to its ousted president, Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali." [240]

The Christian Post recently released an interesting article commenting on the illogical "thinking" of atheist Richard Dawkins. [241]

It took the Obama Administration two months to replace the spokesman for the State Department, after he was abruptly forced out for causing a mild embarrassment to Obama. [242] So much for frank, candid discussion!

Israel and Hamas: who has the better standard of law? Judge the two standards, and you can judge their claims. [243]

Barack Obama’s 2012 budget proposal fails to gain support from any Senator and goes down in flames 0-97. [244] Bonus: comments from Democrats when it was introduced in February.

Computer error: Over 1500 prisoners released in California. This is not part of the 33,000 to 45,000 law breakers ordered to be released due to overcrowding. [245]

Hamas gains an open border with Egypt. With Americans buying plane tickets to Jerusalem, this is not good. [246]

Scientific stupidity at work: Just what kind of scientific benefit can the National Science Foundation claim in justifying hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars for "Jell-O wrestling" at the South Pole? [247]

Many atheists in the Western World appear to have a goal in life.[248] Of course, atheism having a reputation for cowardice, certainly doesn't help them achieve their goal.

Republicans fear more United States federal debt, Democrats fear U.S. federal debt default.[249]

On a related note, Conservapedia recently published its article on cowardice which will certainly greatly delight many atheists and evolutionists (see also: Creation scientists tend to win the creation vs. evolution debates).

Barney Frank knocked on his Fannie! The Massachusetts representative admits he helped his lover get a job at Fannie Mac: [250]

File under "Puh'lese!" A Senate report cites billions of taxpayer dollars wasted by the National Science Foundation. Criticizing the report NSF Public Affairs Director Dana Topousis said that the foundation is "renowned for its gold-standard approach to peer review," and its discoveries have "advanced the frontiers of science and engineering, improved Americans' lives, and provided the foundations for countless new industries and jobs." Oh really? $1.5 million for a robot that can fold a towel? $2 million to look at Flickr pics? $144,000 for a romantic fling for two? Alcohol? Video games? Crustaceans in the gym? [251]

Israel takes a lot of criticism from the Mainstream Media. No surprise there. But the Israeli public aren't buying it anymore. Nor should they. [252]

"Political science professor Joseph E. Uscinski ... said ... the overwhelmingly liberal academic community consistently ranks Republican presidents about 10 spots lower than the public would. 'I don’t think anyone is surprised,' Mr. Uscinski told The Washington Times. 'Among the political scientists and historians that I work with, Democrats outnumber Republicans 8 to 1.'" [253]

Public school district may ban homework over weekends and holidays! [254] Perhaps this would prevent parents -- who have more time then to review their kids' assignments -- from seeing all the liberal claptrap being taught.

Harry Reid is upset. His dear government coworker, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, has been treated wrong by Republican David Vitter. Salazar earns only $180,000. a year salary and Harry Reid wants to give him a $19,000. raise but Vitter stands in the way. As the whole nation suffers from a higher cost of living, a lack of jobs, cutbacks and declining government revenue, Harry Reid wants to spend more money on his buddies. [255]

"Obama and Cameron must break this addiction to war. ... All Obama promised, in cleansing the west's reputation, in restoring disengagement and reversing Washington's image as an overbearing bully, has been vitiated by surges, drone missiles and the kneejerk attack on Libya. That the top item at a summit between Britain and America should be how to bomb a north African state that threatens neither of them is absurd." [256]

Is Obama more loyal to the United Nations than to the United States? His speech in the United Kingdom mentions Libya, where he's already overstayed his War Powers limit. Maybe he thinks that those UN Resolutions are all the authority he needs. [257]

New study confirms that playing violent video games damages the brain and makes it less sensitive to actual violence. [258] Does this surprise anyone???

Israel did not steal any land; they bought it. The first land purchases go back thousands of years ago. More recently, the Jews bought it back. [259]

The combination of vote-splitting and an unpopular Medicare voucher proposal by Paul Ryan causes a surprising loss of an open New York congressional seat to a Democrat. [260] Looks like Paul Ryan and the Fox News Channel owe Newt Gingrich an apology, as Newt warned against this weeks ago.

Pat Buchanan, who has never been very sympathetic to Israel, recognizes that Benjamin Netanyahu "smacked-down" Barack Obama and thoroughly and publicly humiliated him. [261] Netanyahu may be betting that Obama will not be re-elected - especially with a weakened Jewish voter base in Florida, a must-win State for Obama.

Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel makes a stand-up speech to Congress. He makes a counter-offer to Palestine, and already they are walking away. [262]

The bombings appeared concentrated on Gaddafi’s compound in Tripoli, although a government spokesman said the airstrike had targeted the headquarters of a militia force... Libyan officials have said that NATO is picking sides in a civil war and complained that strikes on Gaddafi’s Tripoli compound are attempts to assassinate the leader of a sovereign country." [268] Are these bombings helping to protect Libyan civilians?

News update: An online brouhaha quickly erupted at atheist PZ Myers' blog Pharyngula after Myers made a blog post on May 16, 2011 which featured a photograph of some of his fans and 80% of them were overweight. [278]

Conservapedia's atheism and obesity article is upsetting PZ Myers' false narrative at his blog that atheists are supposedly more rational than Bible believers which simply is not true. Please see: Irreligion and superstition. Myers is an atheist though so he is used to looking foolish.
