Malay (Malay: Bahasa Melayu) Is an Austronesian language, it has official status in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

As a language spoken in several states Malay has various official names and forms, in Brunei and Singapore it is known as Bahasa Melayu (Malay Language); in Malaysia Bahasa Malaysia (Malaysian language); and in Indonesia Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language).

There are over 200 million speakers of all varieties of Malay in the world.[1] [2] [3]
