Marion Barber was a National Football League running back for the Dallas Cowboys. While attending the University of Minnesota he was a teammate of fellow NFL player Laurence Maroney. A 2005 Cowboys NFL draft choice, Barber in his rookie season played in thirteen games (two starts) and rushed for 535 yards and five touchdowns. In the 2006 season, he played in all sixteen of the Cowboys games and rushed for 654 yards and fourteen touchdowns while making 23 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdowns.
