Mark Dayton is a former Democrat Governor of Minnesota. He is an heir of the Dayton Hudson Corporation which owns Target retail stores. Dayton famously spent $8 million of his inheritance to lose a US Senate race in 1982. After spending time in a dry out tank for drunks, Dayton again spent his family fortune to get himself elected governor of Minnesota.
