Methane is a chemical substance CH4 found in a high percentage in natural gas. It is also produced through natural processes from the decompostion products of animals.

According to the United NationsFood and Agriculture Organization, some scientists believe that methane emissions from the increasing numbers of cattle may contribute to climate change.[1].
