Michael Johns (born September 8, 1964 in Allentown, Pennsylvania) is an American health care executive, former White House and federal government official and conservative policy expert and writer.

In private industry, Johns has held executive management positions with Electric Mobility Corporation, Gentiva Health Services, and Eli Lilly and Company. In government, he has served as White House speechwriter to President George H. W. Bush and a senior aide to New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean (R-NJ) and United States Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-ME). He worked for five years at the conservative Heritage Foundation, where he was a foreign policy analyst and an editor of the foundation's quarterly magazine, Policy Review.

He is one of several prominent American conservative commentators. He has written for The Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, National Review and other publications and has appeared on PBS, CNBC, C-SPAN, Fox News, Voice of America, British Broadcasting Corporation and other networks.

He is a graduate of the University of Miami, where he majored in economics and graduated with honors.[1]
