Mike Lee (b. June 4, 1971) is a constitutional conservative lawyer and is the Republican Senator-elect from Utah, having won the 2010 election. Lee was backed by the Tea Party Movement and the Senate Conservatives Fund. He scored a primary victory against incumbent Republican Bob Bennett. He promises to reduce the cost, size and scope of the federal government. His father was an Assistant U.S. Attorney General under President Ford and U.S. Attorney General under Ronald Reagan. Lee's legal career includes a one-year clerkship with Justice Samuel Alito at the U.S. Supreme Court. Mike and his wife Sharon have three children and live in Alpine, Utah.
