Minnesota cannabis: Minnesota legalized adult-use cannabis beginning on August 1, 2023, as one of the few states to do so in the Midwest (the others are Michigan, Illinois, and Missouri). The Democrat-controlled Minnesota legislature enacted this in May 2023 and it was signed into law by the Democrat Gov. Walz. Minnesota became the 23rd state in the U.S. to make adult-use of cannabis legal.[1]
