Multilateral nuclear disarmament is the notion of ridding the world of all nuclear weapons. In the 21st century, George Shultz, William Perry, Henry Kissinger and Sam Nunn came to endorse this proposal.[1]

On October 27, 2016, the United Nations voted to launch negotiations in 2017 on a treaty outlawing nuclear weapons.[2]
