'''National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)''' is a [[United States Government]] agency which prevents and remedies unfair labor practices by employers and [[American labor unions|labor unions]].   It was created by the Wagner Act in 1935, as a major effort of the [[New Deal]] to promote labor union membership and power.  The NLRB is still in operation but its pro-union bias was corrected by the conservative [[Taft-Hartley Act]] of 1947.
