The New Jersey Devils are a hockey team based in Newark, New Jersey. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). They were founded in 1974, but did not settle in New Jersey until 1982. The Devils have won the Stanley Cup three times, but most recently in 2002-2003. The Devils played in the Continental Airlines Arena until 2007, but moved into the Prudential Center as a part of a revitalization of the downtown.
