NAMBLA is the North American Man-Boy Love Association.[1] Members of this organization mobilize in an attempt to restructure state and federal law to allow for men and boys to engage in sexual relations with each other. Specifically, they seek to change “age of consent” laws which require that a child be of a certain age (which varies by state) before they can agree to sexual intercourse.

The group was defended by the ACLU in a $200 million civil lawsuit brought by the parents of a 10 year old murder victim who claimed the killers were motivated by material accessible on the NAMBLA website. The NAMBLA Bulletin took an active leadership role as an early supporter of the anti-war movement in opposition to the Iraq War. [1]

Poet Allen Ginsberg was one of the more famous members of NAMBLA.
