Obama transition team refers to the team of people selected to plan the forthcoming Obama administration. The Obama transition team has received a budget of $12 million and has employed over 500 staffers to assist in transition operations.[1]


Barack Obama made many promises on the presidential campaign trail. He vowed during his campaign that lobbyists "won't find a job in my White House." Yet, they have made their presence known in Obama's transition team. Nearly 40 registered lobbyists are involved in Obama's transition team.[2]
