On June 14th, 2008, the International Criminal Court's top prosecutor charged Al-Bashir with masterminding a campaign of genocide, and asked the court for an arrest warrant for the leader. The International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague issued a warrant for his arrest on accusations of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
