Patriots Training Camp is an up to five week camp for New England Patriots players and camp invitees to prepare for the upcoming season or even earn a spot on the team. The camp typically begins around the last week of July and goes all the way to the end of August. The Patriots base their camp in Foxboro, Massachusetts just next to their stadium. Admission is free for all spectators. After practice is over, a group of selected players usually sign autographs for fans.

One of the biggest reasons why teams hold training camps is to integrate new players into their offensive system. For rookies and free agents with no prior experience with the team, the time learning the system can be critical. Also, the NFL preseason schedule runs parallel to the training camp period so most players participating in camp also play in the preseason games.
