The ''People's Party'' was a political party in the [[Utah]] Territory from 1870 to 1891. The [[Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints]] (Mormons) and its newspaper, the ''Deseret News'' backed the party. It was formed in response to the formation of the non-Mormon Liberal Party.
