A pipe organ is a keyboard musical instrument that blows air through pipes to create sound. The air resonates in the pipe and the vibration creates sound. Depending on the size of the pipe the pitch will be different, so many pipes are used.

Though most closely associated with church music, pipe organs can be and are used in many applications. Their predecessors go back to ancient Greece.

The largest pipe organs boast tens of thousands of pipes. For list of the 20 largest pipe organs in the world, see [1].
