Pièce de résistance

Pièce de résistance is a French term meaning the main dish of a meal or an outstanding item or event.[1]
In fine restaurants or formal events often the best dish is held back to impress the guest and serves as the pièce de résistance. In addition, the term has become to used to describe a crowning moment or achievement.[2]
