Prescott Sheldon Bush (May 15, 1895 – October 8, 1972) was a banker and a Republican Senator from Connecticut from 1952 to 1963. He was the father of President George H. W. Bush, and the grandfather of President George W. Bush and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

Ties with Nazis

Bush, a Wall Street Banker, was known to have negotiated with Nazis before and during World War II, profiting millions from such deals.[1] In 1942, his assets were seized by the federal government due to such treachery though he was never held accountable.

Support of eugenics

Bush was a member of the American Birth Control League since 1942. He also served as the treasurer of Planned Parenthood's first national campaign in 1947.[2]
