Public library

A public library is a municipal or local taxpayer-funded library which offers open access to the public and loan of books and other materials to residents of the tax district. As well as having significant book stocks for loan, public libraries generally offer reference facilities, recent newspapers and magazines of general interest, and CDs/DVDs for loan. They increasingly provide internet access for users, through workstations, WiFi, or both.
