Rachel Maddow (b. 1973) is a left-wing American radio and television commentator for Air America radio and MSNBC cable television. She has a bachelors degree from Stanford University, and a doctorate from Oxford. (She went to Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.) Maddow is one of relatively few openly gay personalities in the mainstream news media. Like the almost everyone at the MSNBC network, she is an hysterical opponent of former U.S President George W. Bush, conservative values and the Republican Party, as well as a staunch supporter and follower of Barack Obama.
