Rafael Correa

Rafael Correa (born April 6, 1963) was the Socialist President of Ecuador. He was an ally of Hugo Chavez and made Ecuador a member of Chavez´ Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas. He opposes the USA and helped Julian Assange to hide in the Ecuadorian embassy.
Correa is Pro-Life. In 2013 he prevented a pro-Abortion-law. Correa said: "They can do whatever they want. I will never approve the decriminalisation of abortion".[1]
Correa was succeeded by Lenin Moreno, who took several steps to reverse Correa's left-wing policies despite being members of the same party.[2]
