Reasons to Believe

Reasons to Believe is an Old Earth creationist ministry founded and run by Dr. Hugh Ross. It compromises biblical creation with evolutionary old age to give a false, but more easily accepted position. It follows the day-age philosophy.^[1] RTB believes in a local flood, and uniformitarianism, as is warned of in 2 Peter 3: "...there shall come in the last days scoffers...and saying...all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For of this they are willingly ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth, standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished."
