The Republican National Committee (RNC) provides national leadership for the Republican Party of the United States. It is responsible for developing and promoting the Republican Party Platform, as well as coordinating fundraising and election strategy. It is also responsible for organizing and running the Republican National Convention. The current chairman is Reince Priebus.
According to conservatives and some on the anti-establishment left, the RNC attempted to block Donald Trump out of the 2015 Republican primaries.[1][2][3]
