Ridley Scott

Ridley Scott (born in 1937) is an English director best known for directing films such as Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise and Gladiator. He began his work in advertising and is noted for his visual flair.[1] He has received three Academy Award nominations for Best Director.[2]
A self-professed agnostic, Scott directed the film, Kingdom of Heaven, which portrays the Knights Templar negatively. Scott said that they were "the right wing or Christian fundamentalists of their day." In another statement he has said, "Religious difference, right now, is causing a great lack of understanding."[3]
