Roger Staubach was a famous football quarterback, first for Navy in college and later for the Dallas Cowboys as a professional. Was a Heisman Trophy winner who didn't play football for years after college after first serving at his Navy requirement in Vietnam. Went on to lead the Cowboys to 4 Super Bowls, winning 2 before retiring in 1979 with the highest quarterback rating ever at that time. (Rule changes would inflate quarterback ratings in the future).

Roger was known for his hard work ethic, but more importantly for his family values. A strong Roman Catholic who goes to mass daily, he wanted his life on the field to match his life off the field - and it did.
