Roger Waters is a singer, songwriter and lyricist, who often plays bass guitar, and sometimes guitars. He is primarily known for being one of the creative geniuses of the progressive rock band Pink Floyd. After leaving the band in 1984, he began a moderately successful solo career. Political views

Roger Waters supported the Anti-Capitalist Occupy Wall Street movement.[2] He had accused the State of Israel of “ethnic cleansing” and “collective punishment” and was also a supporter of the Anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign.[3] Waters backed Vladimir Putin's 2014 annexation of Ukraine's Crimea Peninsula and claimed that Russia's actions were "provoked" by the ouster of Ukraine's former president Viktor Yanukovych.[4]
