Rudolf Clausius

Rudolf Clausius (1822–1888) was a German physicist and mathematician who discovered entropy in 1865 and named it. His paper in 1850 in thermodynamics was the first statement of the concept of the second law of thermodynamics. He also restated the Carnot cycle in a more rigorous manner.
