The Rugby Football Union (RFU) is the governing body of Rugby Football in England. Founded in 1871 the RFU provided the original laws of the game. In 1907 the RFU purchased a parcel of land at Twickenham to build the first rugby only stadium. Twickenham was recently rebuilt and now accommodates 75,000 spectators and is situated on 35 acres of land.
