For the Catholic college see St. Scholastica

Saint Scholastica (480-543) was a Catholic saint born in Italy and the twin sister of Saint Benedict. She was a nun who found an Order near Monte Cassino. Her brother Benedict saw her soul ascended into heaven in the form of a dove upon her death.

She is mentioned in Pope Gregory the Great's Dialogues, our only source of knowledge on her.[1]

Saint Scholastica's feast date is February 10.
