The Saltire is the name of the [[flag]] of [[Scotland]]: a white cross of [[St Andrew]] on a dark blue ground. The Saltire is proudly flown by all [[Scots]]; however, the Scottish Royal Standard is also displayed, even by republicans, at sporting events, wherever its red and gold colours make a stirring sight.
