Saturday is the seventh day of the week, coming after Friday and before Sunday. The name is derived from the word for Saturn, a Roman God of agriculture.
Jews and some Christians (notably Seventh-Day Adventists) consider Saturday to be the day of the Sabbath, although most Christians generally observe Sunday as the Christian Sabbath. See Sabbatarianism.
