A scam is a method of making money, gaining power, or obtaining other benefits by conning people into giving the scam-artist or con-artist that which he or she wants (usually, in the form of money). Scams always involve deceit of some form.

Scams are significantly effective on older women who are more vulnerable to either power pressure or requests for compassion, so it is important for families to protect our elder women.
