At the start of the 116th Congress, he was a member of the House Budget Committee and House Armed Services Committee.

NeverNancy

The NeverNancy movement was led by two white men, Seth Moulton and Tim Ryan. NeverPelosi Democrats vowed to "support new leadership because voters in hard-won districts, and across the country, want to see real change in Washington." For appearance sake they proposed replacing a woman with woman. Reps. Marcia Fudge, Cheri Bustos and Karen Bass all were put forward.[1] Pelosi issued the obligatory charges of bigotry, misogyny, and sexism.[2]

Justice Democrats, a group that backed Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna S. Pressley, urged progressive Democrats to withhold their votes to “extract concessions...Medicare For All, rejecting corporate donations, free college, dismantling mass incarceration and mass deportation." As California burned fro wildfirea, Ocasio-Cortez led a mob of tree huggers in a takeover of Pelosi's office. For years California has transferred money from forest management - removing dead trees - to social spending for Democrat vote-buying schemes. California was wracked by unprecedented wildfires taking scores of lives and burning down whole cities.[3] Pelosi agreed to the creation of Climate Crisis Committee. Its scope and mandate makes clear its vision:
"The select committee shall have authority to develop a detailed national, industrial, economic mobilization plan for the transition of the United States economy to become greenhouse gas emissions neutral and to significantly draw down greenhouse gases from the atmosphere and oceans and to promote economic and environmental justice and equality."
The Green New Deal advances non-environmental projects, such as "social, economic, racial, regional and gender-based justice."[4]
"The Plan for a Green New Deal (and the draft legislation) shall recognize that a national, industrial, economic mobilization of this scope and scale is a historic opportunity to virtually eliminate poverty in the United States and to make prosperity, wealth and economic security available to everyone participating in the transformation."
The Green New Deal was introduced as H.Res.109 on February 7, 2019. Moulton co-sponsored the Green New Deal. Six weeks into Democrat control of the House it already claimed victory for destroying 25,000 jobs.[5] Rep. Carolyn Maloney of New York, who supports the Green New Deal, was livid when her fellow communists killed the prospect of Amazon bringing its main headquarters to New York and creating 25,000 jobs with wages averaging $150,000.[6] Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Ocasio-Cortez took credit for killing the Amazon deal. Ocasio-Cortez tweeted:
"Anything is possible: today was the day a group of dedicated, everyday New Yorkers & their neighbors defeated Amazon's corporate greed, its worker exploitation, and the power of the richest man in the world."
Amazon was promised up to $1.5 billion in tax abatements in exchange for the promise of creating 25,000 jobs.[7]
