| − | A shark is an oceanic fish, streamlined in appearance and typically predatory. A shark's most notable characteristics include a prominent dorsal fin, fully replaceable teeth (with the exception of the whale shark) and a cartilaginous skeleton. Sharks can be man-eaters, but shark attacks on humans are rare and considered by shark professionals as mistakes caused by the shark's misinterpretation of the human as being its natural prey.
