Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) was a successful commercial bank based in Silicon Valley, specifically Santa Clara, California. It was the largest bank in Silicon Valley and one of the biggest in the entire United States, when California regulators surprisingly seized the bank and took it over on March 11, 2023.

This bank pursued a liberal agenda of ESG investing, and has been called by some as a "climate bank" for its foolish adherence to an investment strategy based on the global warming hoax.
