Stanley "Stan" Victor Freberg (b. August 7, 1926 - April 7, 2015) was an American advertiser, comedian, recording artist, voice actor, puppeteer and radio personality. He was widely known for his parodies of popular songs.[1]

Freberg parodied Elvis Presley's first number one hit, Heartbreak Hotel, making fun of the use of the echo chamber in the original song as well as Presley's hip gyrations, with the singer ripping his jeans for the third time that day and drowning in background music.

Freberg passed away from Pneumonia on April 7, 2015. He was 88.[2]
