Stepan Bandera

Stepan Bandera (b. January 1, 1909-d. October 15, 1959) was a Ukrainian nationalist. He founded a rebel army, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, that fought the Red Army. He fought alongside the Germans during the Second World War. After Bandera wanted to create a independet Ukrainian state, he was sent to concentration camp in 1941. Banderas army persecuted Jews and Poles. He was killed by a KGB-agent in 1959.[1]
