An important point which can be surmised from reading all the documents and original sources may seem minor but is truly important. It appears Taiwan contacted the WHO on December 31, 2019 and advised them both on the Wuhan outbreak and human-to-human transmissibility; WHO apparently then called Beijing and asked about it. Beijing evidently confirmed the outbreak but denied transmissibility, which the WHO than reported 2 weeks later. The WHO has never admitted that Taiwan contacted them first to advise on the outbreak and, recognizing the CCP's One China Policy, claims the Beijing notified them of the Wuhan outbreak. Tedros in turn accused Taiwan of racism without any evidence.
This timeline of important events appears to have been misreported by more than one otherwise credible source (Brookings Institute and National Review, for instance). RobSDe Plorabus Unum 19:48, 18 April 2020 (EDT)
