Talk:Essay:Christianity Needs Conservatism

Return to "Essay:Christianity Needs Conservatism" page.

I disagree. The political divisions brought about in Christianity have seen both Liberals and Conservatives at fault. We need to get back to the roots of Christianity, and take politics out of it altogether. 17:37, 27 April 2008 (EDT)

On the one hand, I see the point that Andrew is making, that many of the moral teachings of Christianity seem at odds with society-at-large's moral norms; but I think that this is less a case of Christianity needing Conservatism and more a case (as you say) of Christians needing to actually understand what Christ taught and following the example He set. There are some Conservative philosophies which are in contradiction of His teachings, and some Conservative organizations - powerful, influential ones at that - which are the very antithesis of Christianity. 10px Fox (talk|contribs) 09:07, 2 May 2008 (EDT)
