Talk:Essay: Why I no longer support Breitbart
Islam is not a monolith. There are four fundamental divisions we are dealing with: Sunni, Shia, secular Sunni, and secular Shia. Yes, there are other groups, Sufi for example, but we're concerned to what extent those groups align with the four previously stated.
Like it or not, to be engaged one needs to learn about these four divisions, as Donald Trump (witness his acceptance of Ibn Saud award from King Salman) himself now is being educated. And one can reasonably assume Donald Trump and Steve Bannon are not that weak and powerless that they have lost editorial input and control over Brietbart news, which universally is accredited with gaining them the White House. You need to continue reading Brietbart to learn what direction Trump is leading US foreign policy.
A similiar, even more blatant situation is arising with Jared Kushner's Observer. Former NSA analyst John Schindler, who threatened Donald Trump here and here and elsewhere (all his threats have come to pass), has written for Kushner's (who himself now has troubles with the Deep State) Observer for years. Whatsmore, Schindler has written two articles in the past three days that explain in detail better than you will find anywhere else the London Bridge attack and the Reality Winner situation.
So don't be so quick to write off Brietbart and the Observer. On the contrary, you need to follow these two publications to see what direction Trump is leading America in. No other sources have the established credentials these two have. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 12:10, 7 June 2017 (EDT)
